Jeremy Clark has been rocking the financial world for nearly 25 years. Hailing from Sarnia, Ontario, and spending some of his wild and wonderful formative years in Michigan, where he got a touch of that Midwestern charm. He earned his B.Sc. in Neuroscience from McGill University and then honed his financial skills at the Canadian Securities Institute in Calgary. Getting his start back in 1999, Jeremy kicked off his financial journey as an intern at the Calgary-based Waddell & Associates. He basically did it all - personal and corporate tax, financial planning, estate planning, you name it. By 2006, he became a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute, solidifying his status as a top-notch wealth planner.
Then, in 2007, Jeremy and his business partner seized an entrepreneurial opportunity and acquired Waddell & Associates, rebranding it as Clark Hetherington Financial Ltd. Since then, the firm has thrived under his leadership, managing significant assets and serving prominent Canadian business leaders. In 2019, he took majority ownership, solidifying the commitment to exceptional financial services through the now-renamed CH Financial Ltd.
But there's more to Jeremy than finance. Although his professional accomplishments are impressive, his dedication to community involvement is just as remarkable. From chairing the boards of the McGill University Faculty of Science and the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation to spearheading innovative initiatives like the Clark Science Executive Leadership Fund (SELF) at McGill. The SELF program has garnered significant praise from professors and graduate students alike and empowered laboratories to run like business entities. Jeremy is on a mission to bring different disciplines together, allowing each to benefit from one another.
It's not all business for Jeremy! When he's not in his office or a boardroom, you'll likely find him on the tennis court, running through the city, or teeing off on the golf course, often with his daughters Keiko and Chloe by his side. He is also a fervent traveler with a love for exploring new cultures and gaining insights from different parts of the world, which has further enriched his entrepreneurial spirit and global perspective. Jeremy and his family also share a love for giving back, often leading to spirited conversations about community causes over dinner. Much like his parents, Paul and Bernice, it gives Jeremy great joy that his daughters are following in his philanthropic footsteps.
This passion for improving society has extended to CH Financial Ltd., which has broadened the company's reach into the community, focusing on causes such as food security, nutrition, and education. Jeremy firmly believes that success in isolation is a selfish activity, whereas someone who is truly successful encourages many people to thrive around them.
